ABOUT
Tyler is a husband, dad, and founder of Missional Labs, a nonprofit venture accelerator that forms ambitious leaders and helps them build what’s next for Gospel impact on the frontiers of mission, alongside leading churches, ministries, and institutions.
A missiologist, pastor, entrepreneur, and explorer, Tyler has spent 15+ years helping leaders solve hard problems and shape what’s next. He works at the intersection of theology, culture, and organizational design, and loves creating environments that activate imagination and help leaders move from vision to reality.
Before founding Missional Labs, Tyler spent seven years helping build Church of the City New York, architecting a movement that discipled New Yorkers and launched multiple ministries and networks. Before that, he served as a strategy executive for OneHope, advancing next-generation Bible engagement globally. He is a Venture Partner with Praxis and was previously named an emerging leader for Lausanne.
Tyler has traveled to more than 65+ countries on 100+ international trips, working with church and ministry leaders across diverse global contexts. Those experiences have deeply shaped his vision for global mission in the 21st century.
He holds a Doctor of Missiology from Southeastern University, a Master’s in Theology from Reformed Theological Seminary, and a BA in Economics and BA in Sociology from Azusa Pacific University. He lives in Nashville with his wife, Melany, and their two daughters. When he’s not working, he’s usually reading, finding espresso, or working on his golf swing.
